Is New Gains Academy a full-time school?
Yes. New Gains Academy is a full-time virtual microschool with a structured daily schedule, live instruction, and guided learning.

What subjects are taught?
Students receive live instruction in Mathematics and English Language Arts. Science and Social Studies are taught through guided curriculum with teacher support. Students also participate in Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership development as part of our program.

Do you accept students outside of Arizona?
Yes. As a virtual school, we welcome students from across the United States and around the world.

How does a typical school day work?
Students follow a structured daily schedule that includes live instruction, independent learning, and guided academic work. A sample schedule is available on our Programs page.

Do students have to wear uniforms?
Yes. Students are expected to wear a white or burgundy polo-style shirt Monday through Thursday. Additional details will be shared during onboarding.

How many students are in each class?
We intentionally keep small learning cohorts to ensure each student receives individualized attention and meaningful interaction.

Will my child receive support during independent learning time?
Yes. Students are provided with structured assignments and guidance. Additional support is available for students who need more individualized attention.

Do you offer additional academic support if my child needs it?
Yes. We offer an Enhanced Learning Support option for students who benefit from additional guidance, check-ins, and academic support.

What grade levels do you serve?
We currently serve students in grades 3–8.

Is this program a good fit for all students?
Our program is best suited for students who thrive in a structured, focused environment, benefit from personalized instruction, and are developing independence and responsibility.

Do you still offer in-person learning?
New Gains Academy has transitioned to a fully virtual model. This allows us to provide a more focused, flexible, and accessible learning experience while maintaining small cohorts and personalized instruction.

Why is the cost of tuition $8800 per year?
Tuition reflects the personalized nature of our program, small cohort sizes, and direct instruction. At New Gains Academy, students receive focused academic support, meaningful interaction, and a structured learning environment that is intentionally designed to support both academic growth and real-world skill development.

What if my ESA scholarship does not cover the whole tuition amount.
If your child’s ESA award doesn’t cover the full tuition, don’t worry. Most families use their ESA funds first, and then we create an affordable monthly payment plan for the remaining balance based on your situation. After you apply, we’ll review your ESA amount with you and discuss payment options so money isn’t the reason your child misses out on this program.

How do I enroll my child?
Families can begin by completing our preapplication form. We will then schedule a conversation to ensure the program is a good fit for your child.
