Academics
Our rigorous curriculum builds academic excellence and real-world readiness through focused instruction in math, English Language Arts (ELA), science, and social studies. We utilize premier, research-based programs such as Illustrative Mathematics, IXL, and ReadWorks to develop deep understanding, critical thinking, and personalized growth.
Students are equipped not only to achieve at high academic levels, but to think strategically, solve problems, and succeed in business and leadership.
Business
Students engage in real-world financial and business education, including financial literacy, entrepreneurship, investing, and credit management. Through hands-on projects and interactive lessons, students learn how to earn, save, budget, and grow money—building skills they can use for a lifetime.
Each year, students bring their ideas to life through a “Shark Tank”-style Business Pitch Showcase, where they develop and present their own business concepts. This exciting experience builds confidence, communication skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset—preparing students to think like future leaders and innovators.
A Culture of Kindness
We provide a nurturing and supportive online learning environment where students feel valued, connected, and cared for. Bullying is not tolerated, and we actively cultivate kindness, respect, and positive relationships in every virtual interaction.
To keep our community strong beyond the screen, each student receives a New Gains Academy cup to participate in our signature Hot Cocoa Mondays—a special time to connect, build friendships, and start the week with warmth and encouragement.
Small Classes
We have small classrooms, each accommodating 8-10 students, to ensure personalized attention and support. We provide tailored assistance for students with IEPs and 504 plans, and we also offer advanced, challenging work to help gifted students reach their full potential. We are in the process of establishing two more classrooms, with four classes total.
